The K&N 57-1574 Air Intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on specific Jeep Wrangler models. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction allowing your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The air intake includes a uniquely designed snorkel system that brings in outside air from an ideal location to allow you to ride your Jeep hard in extreme off-road conditions. Fresh air is directed through the low-restriction snorkel tubing and into a replacement K&N roto-molded air box that contains a K&N high-flow air filter. An aerodynamically engineered intake tube smoothes and straightens the air flow before it goes directly into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has provisions to install the stock intake air temperature sensor, and vent (breather) hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less using your vehicle's existing factory mounting points.
